ALTERNATIVE THEATRE FEST
 

1.WIRED theatre Festival was presented in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it lasted from 31th of May till 4th of June. Festival was comprised of 7 theatre shows, art workshops and round table discussions about theatre shows.

Five theatre groups showed up: Academic theatre "Branko Krcmanovic" Beograd-Serbia & Montenegro, Theatre group "Aleph" Zagreb-Croatia, Theatre "Sira" Mostar-BiH, City theatre Ruma – Serbia & Montenegro and Theatre group from Marseille-France.

Theatre groups from Denmark and Chech Republic canceled their participation ealier on, whereas group from Macedonia as well as the person that was supposed to be in charge of theatre workshops cancelled their participation few days before the beginning of the festival.

Host theatre group "Alternative Scene PAT" has opened the festival on 31st of May with their own show and each following day two shows were held by the remaining groups.

Round table discussions about the shows were held by mr. Aleksandar Adamovic, the emminent theatre critic and mr. Damir Altumbabic, assistant on the Academy of Drama in Tuzla. Art workshops were held by the organisation of young artists "UMA".

The guests were housed in Hotel Tuzla whereas theatre shows as well as round table discussions were held in Public Tuzla Theatre.Art workshops were held in a city park every day parallel with the other parts of the festival.

Audience presence for the theatre shows was estimated at 250 per show, mostly young people. All participants,about 40 Drama Academy students and few others participated in round table discussions each day. Art workshop had about 20 participants each day,mostly elementary school pupils who came with their parents which participated in group art therapy.

Media presentation about FRESTA,WIRED network and 1st Wired Theatre Festival held on 3rd of May was seen by about 50.000 people all over BiH. All theatre shows were recorded and played on TV and were seen by about 100.000 people.
