Digital Culture
Our common goal is to restore the urban cultural spirit in Subotica . In 1989. the House of Youth was abolished, as well as the Youth Music Festival. That left the youth of Subotica without an institution which would be a backup for cultural actions.
Therefore we are facing the following problems:
We don't have a place where concerts, exhibitions, projections of educational as well as entertainment programs could be performed.
We don't have a place where graphic workshops could function. We don't have a place where young bands can have rehearsals. They can not afford the expensive equipment, renting of the studio where they could play either.
We don't have a place where we could accommodate our guests from other cities from Yugoslavia , as well as from abroad.
Young people, since no alternatives are offered, reach out for different means to deform their reality which is unbearably boring and predictable.
We want and can offer an alternative. That's why we are putting in all our efforts to restore the Youth Cultural Centre, as one of the solutions of the problem which is present for a long time and mustn't be neglected any longer.Trenchtown project is a way to get to our aim, the Youth Cultural Centre.
